This tool allows you to:

  • ping and traceroute any IPv4 and IPv6 destination address
  • show detailed BGP routes for any IPv4 and IPv6 destination address
  • show BGP map for any IPv4 and IPv6 destination address

How to test the connectivity between a specified IP and one of our probes

  1. Select a site in the drop-down list.
  2. Select the internet protocol version: IPv4 or IPv6.
  3. Select a command for testing.
    • ping allows you to view round trip time between a selected site and a specified IP address or hostname.
    • traceroute allows you to view all enabled router hops encountered in the path between a selected site and a specified IP address or hostname.
    • route for all allows you to view BGP route details for a specified IP prefix, IP address, or hostname.
    • route for (bgpmap) allows you to view a BGP route graph for a specified IP prefix, IP address, or hostname.
  4. Specify your IPv4 or IPv6 address and press Enter to run the test.

    5. It may take several minutes to display the requested information, depending on the selected site and the request type.

    Please note that Looking Glass probe servers (along with their IP addresses) used to test connectivity are not available for purchase.
